Help Make These Stories Visible

These posters are meant to be shared. Visibility helps prevent erasure and builds public accountability. Here are three ways you can help.

1. Share an Individual Poster on Social Media

You can download any poster on this page as a JPG and share it directly to your social media accounts.

When you post, consider adding a short caption in your own words. If you are able, include the hashtags #TAKENBYICE and #MIRACoalition so others can find the project and stand in solidarity. Tagging helps connect individual stories into a larger public record.

2. Share the Taken By ICE Website

You can also share a link to this page or the main Taken By ICE site on your social media. Sharing the site helps others learn what is happening, report incidents, and access stories in one place.

A simple post is enough. For example, “These stories deserve to be seen” or “Help make this visible.” What matters most is that the link circulates.

3. Print and Post Posters in the Real World

If you would like to share these posters offline, you may print them and post them in public spaces where posting is allowed. Many businesses and community centers welcome postings if you ask first.

Good places include:

  • community bulletin boards

  • libraries

  • coffee shops, store windows

  • places of worship,

  • union halls, and

  • other spaces that explicitly allow flyers or notices.

Additionally, you can consider displaying posters in the windows of your own home in solidarity.

Every share matters. Every poster is a refusal to be erased.

Please avoid posting on private property without permission, blocking signage, covering other posters, or placing materials where they could create safety issues. Use removable tape, push pins, or bulletin boards rather than adhesives that could cause damage.

Posting responsibly helps keep the focus on the message and protects both you and the people whose stories are being shared.
